Hi there,

At present I don't own a Supra, however I have always had a soft spot for the car. I have spent many hours, mainly while pretending to 'work', reading through some of the unreal build threads on here. The detail, parts and knowledge of the owners, not to mention the cars, truely awe inspiring.

I thought I should at least sign up and say hello :blink:

As hinted at by my screen name, I own a Honda Civic Type R, EP3. Somewhat modified at the moment. :sly: Currently running 314bhp with a turbo conversion (will be up to 350+ by the end of the year, new clutch/flywheel/LSD then upping the boost to 12psi)

I am hoping to pick up a Supra in a year or two, just trying to learn a bit more about the car and it's potential.

Hi All,

I am hardly driving my Supra, but as I have owned it from new it has become part of the family and therefore have never seriously considered selling it. Its service is due which, like the last few years makes me question whether to keep paying to maintain the car I rarely drive or to finally let her go.

Can anyone comment on what the market is like for selling at present? Any advice would be welcome?

Thanks,

tonite i finally got around to fitting my full 3" exhaust.

the exhast i removed was 2.5" but in part where it was poorly bent it was downd to 2" id say.

anyways. i took the car for a blast and what a difference. the turbo spooled sooner and was on full boost a full 400rpm sooner . and ontop of that it made 4psi more without touching the boost controller, i had to turn it down a bit .

the old pipe must have been casing huge restriction. but the car is running verry well at the moment so alls good. (touch wood)

an another nice little feature of the new pipes is that if someone revs it while your standing behind you can hear the turbo whistling down through the exhaust :cool:

well finally got round to having the uk brakes fitted to my jap spec 93 tt,thought it was going to...

well finally got round to having the uk brakes fitted to my jap spec 93 tt,thought it was going to be an average job to do,

How wrong was i the first thing i had was the wheels on my hubs, they would of hit the calipers on the front if i hadn't of had spacers on thats not a problem there only 5mm ones, but the problem was when it comes to fitting the spacer and wheels there was only four turns on the nuts so that would be 5mm of thread, should be at least 75% of the bolt 12mm so therefore it would be 8mm give a little.

So the studs on the hubs i had off the car i was stripping are 5mm longer so after getting them fitted to my car and putting the calipers on checking for leaks bleeding and everything else i then am just about to start to take the car off the ramps i look at the steering wheel and it didn't look right wasn't straight so realined the steering wheel got out the car to check the toe and guess what the car is now toeing out about 25 degrees.

As i haven't got a machine to do the tracking i had to roughly set it up but it is toeing in a little now will have another go on friday when i fit a new rear off side top wishbone what a bloody night there i was thinking calipers,discs,pads done in 1 hour tops and 3 hours later its done with me and my mate john well johndoing most of the work (good lad)

on a plus i now have uk 4 pots on the front and 2 pots on the rear

Greddy E-manage Blue problem

Hi guys! I have a question for the Greddy E-manage specialists.

I recently bought a Greddy E-manage Blue and I installed it the very basic way(just for tweaking the MAP-signal, not the injectors yet), just to see if it works.

I connected the following just like the manual said:

red -> 12V+
black -> ground
brown -> RPM
white -> MAP-signal to loom
green -> MAP-signal to ECU

I also put the rotary-switches in the correct position, and all the jumpers on the board are in the correct places. All according to the manual. I plugged the main connector(1) in the E-manage unit. When I turn the ignition on the "active"(green) and "interaction"(orange) LEDs on the E-manage unit turn on also.

Now if I want to start the engine it wont run! If I disconnect the E-manage unit's connector the engine will start but it will not run smooth because of the cut MAP-signal ofcourse.

I think this is strange, why won't the engine start with the E-manage unit connected? The wiring is the same as a disconnected unit, in both ways only the MAP-signal is cut..

Why does this connected E-manage unit have a influence on starting the engine?
